When I was in highschool, there were a couple of boys that worse skirts. With Doc Martins. I don't think it was any kind of statement about their sexuality though, which I think is the point of the article.
Being a parent of a kiddo in junior high, I think the bigger issue really is the classroom disruption. At that age, kids are looking for anything to talk about or distract them from actually paying attention in class. ;-P
Which is why so many schools are going to uniforms in the first place. Of course, even with unifoms, I hear all about it if one of the students wore a ROYAL blue shirt, instead of NAVY blue. So maybe its more distracting - I dunno?
Hmmm, honestly, i really don't see why not. If its part of them expressing who they are, then why not. I think if they can handle the comments then go for it, but being in school might make it really tough.
I am an immigration and divorce attorney with a small firm in the Chicago Loop. When I'm not working, I can usually be found rehearsing for a play or attending dance class.
This blog chronicles my clothes for work and for play. My dress code for work is somewhat flexible, but I regularly appear in court and meet with clients. I'm a jeans and t-shirt girl at heart, if, of course, we're talking about skinny jeans and a fitted tee with a jacket and scarf and big hoop earrings.
