What I Read This Month

Shopaholic & Baby by Sophie Kinsella, 2007

Total brain candy. If you liked the other Shopaholic books, this is typical Becky Brandon (nee Bloomwood) catastrophe and recovery. Fun, easy read.

Flow: the Psychology of Optimal Experience by Mihaly Csikszentmihaley, 1990

Interesting book examining the how-to of being happy. Get involved in activities that generate "flow," which the author defines as concentration and involvement in a particular activity. Whether it be sports, dance, music, reading or your job, the more flow-producing activities you have in your life, the happier you will be. The text starts slow, but grows more interesting as it goes. The author is guilty of using too many false dichotomies and straw-man arguments, but if you can read around those, it's a fascinating proposition.

I've been really busy lately with moving and my show and car troubles and other stuff. While I've been slow in posting outfits (and by slow, I mean not posting at all), I've still been taking pictures. Now, it's time to play catch up.

Another 100% thrifted outfit, without even trying. I didn't realized everything was thrifted until I started typing up this post.

Graphic Tees

In July, Academichic started a discussion about wearing t-shirts with slogans on them (here, here, here, and here). Then My Edit weighed in. Time Enough for Drums ran a series on styling graphic tees (here, here, here, here, here, and here). Finally, College Fashion posted a tutorial on styling graphic tees.

Now I personally love graphic and slogan tees, and I own quite a few. Here are some of my graphic tees and how I've worn them.
