The Rookie Show Tonight!

I'm really loving this jacket ever since I rediscovered it last fall. I've had it for 10 years and I wore it a lot when I first got it, but then it fell out of my rotation and became just a once-in-a-while item. Lately, I've been drawn to it more. I think it was the revelation that I could roll the sleeves (gasp! what a novel idea) and show the bright orange lining.

I wore this exact outfit a week and a half for a cast party dinner, but I never photographed it. I needed something for court this morning, so I grabbed this again, down to the last piece of jewelry. Wearing new combos is fun and makes my wardrobe feel fresh. Wearing exact repeats is easy, requiring very little effort for a look that I already know works well.

Where:
work (including court), visit to a gym I might join

What:
Jacket: from a small suit store in Northern Virginia
Skirt: Express
Sweater: Wet Seal
Boots: Steve Madden (thrifted)
Small Gold Hoop and Opal Heart Earrings: gifts from my parents
Necklace: vintage from my mother
Assorted rings: gifts, my grandmother's wedding ring, and unknown

  2. That jacket is awesome. It's fitted and has a traditional shape, but the print, buttons and lining all make it special. Pairing it with the simple pencil skirt makes it stand out even more. Kudos!
