I was planning to wear just the skirt and blue shirt this morning, but once I was dressed I realized I might be cold in my office in just that, so I added the lined wool blazer.
My office was crazy warm over the winter. Most days, it would get up into the 80's. I like warm, but even I had to open the window a few times to cool it down. Now that the weather has warmed up to the high 50's, the building has pretty much stopped running heat. So now my office is warmer than high 50's, but only just. Crazy. It will be just as cold this summer when the air conditioning is running full blast.
I appreciate modern temperature controls so that I'm not at the mercy of the freezing winters and sweltering summers, but sometimes I just get really frustrated that I have to bundle like crazy to get to work in January, only to arrive and find that my office is as warm as the tropics. In the summer, I try to dress lightly enough that I can get to work without melting, but when I get there, I have to add tons of layers, and I'm still a bit on the cool side. Crazy. Anyway, enough complaining.
