Court and Cast Party

Work:

I had court at 8:30 a.m., requiring me to get up just a bit earlier than I am accustomed to waking. This is a comfortable suit (jacket not pictured) that I purchased a few years ago, right before starting my first attorney position. Add to that a basic button down and comfy bright sweater, and ta-da! Today's outfit (the simple and coloful basic pieces and the formal suit aspect) is what I used to wear almost daily at my last job. I enjoy the comparative sartorial freedom of my new job so much more!

Cast Party:

There's a cast party after EVERY. SINGLE. PERFORMANCE. of the CBA show. That's my kind of people! :-) Some of the parties have themes, and tonight's theme was PIRATES!

The run has been going well so far, and it's so much fun! It's been almost a year since my last show, and I forgot how much I enjoy it - performing, the camaraderie of the cast, rehearsing and anticipating how great the show will be, being super busy and then crashing and enjoying the relatively empty schedule afterwards, enjoying a close-up and behind-the-scenes view of the other pieces in the show. Musicals are always especially fun b/c I really enjoy the singing and dancing.

  1. Oh my gosh, it sounds like the show has been so much fun so far! I love that green sweater, by the way.
