Some pattern mixing today with a polka dotted dress and striped belt. I wasn't the biggest fan of this jacket when I first bought it. I purchased it mainly because I liked the matching high-waisted pencil skirt, and I need matching jackets for my pants and skirts to complete the "suit look" when I go court. Outside of court, I usually wear the pieces as separates, and I thought this jacket would get little use outside of court, but it's grown on me over time. I've been wearing it more this summer because it just seems to be the right color and cut to top off many different outfits.

Love this too! The colors are so nice. I love the dress shape. :-)
ReplyDeleteWhat a cute dress ~ I love the whole outfit. I actually wore something similar for a reader outfit post that was hosted by Aimee of All Things Aimee -- I even used a red tie to belt a blue polka dot dress. We think alike!
ReplyDeleteI didn't post this outfit on my blog, but if you'd like to see it, you can find it on Aimee's: http://allthingsaimee.blogspot.com/2010/08/reader-outfits-something-old-something.html
That IS a fabulous jacket. I've been loving the americana twist you've been putting on so many of your outfits this summer!
ReplyDeleteThis dress looks fantastic on you. I love blue and red together and the pattern mixing is great.
ReplyDeleteI love love the polka dot dress! Mixed with the classic jacket this is a perfect look. I adore the subtle addition of the tie as a belt.
ReplyDeleteOOOhhhhh, great look. I gotta do a tie belt while I am still thin :)
