I was scheduled to second chair a hearing this afternoon, but the case was continued for another date. I hadn't even left for the courthouse yet (our office is only a few blocks away) when our law clerk called and told me not to bother coming over b/c the judge was running way behind schedule and was likely going to postpone the hearing. Sure enough, hearing postponed. So my suit never even saw the inside of a courtroom. It did see the inside of a sushi restaurant though, where I had a lovely night out with the girls. Ai Japanese Restaurant & Lounge in River North is offering 50% this month to all attorneys who present their business cards.
