Ikea!

My boyfriend moved into his new apartment this week. We went to IKEA tonight after work to buy stuff for his house: curtains, curtain rods, closet shelving, cd racks, etc. I got a lampshade for myself and some large coffee mugs. I also found a bed that I'm in love with. It's a white beadboard daybed with storage drawers underneath, and it converts to a large double bed. The foam mattresses are thin, so they just stack on top of each other when the bed is closed into a single twin daybed, but even though they're thin, the mattresses are soooooo comfortable.

My boyfriend took pictures of me and my new love, and the entire time he kept muttering "this is so dorky, taking pictures in IKEA."

Sick Day and General Slow Down

No pics today because I stayed home from work sick. No pics from of my new Zac Posen for Target blouse that I wore yesterday b/c it was pouring down rain when I got home so I didn't venture outside to take pictures, and I haven't been happy with my inside photos lately.

Due to some changes going on in my life right now and upcoming travel this summer, I will be slowing down my posting. I'll still be posting occasionally, but not my usual 4-5 posts per week. Hopefully, this will be a temporary change, and I'll be back to my usual rate by the end of the summer.

The fountain at the Daley Center has been red the last few weeks in support of the Blackhawks!

I was in Milwaukee today for the Cubs-Brewers game. I had a cute red & blue Cubs outfit (no black), but I didn't get any pictures. Maybe I'll recreate it this weekend.

Wednesday

Improvising this morning. I had planned to wear this dress and sweater to a concert this weekend. We didn't go to the concert because of my boyfriend's biking accident (hurt his arm, recovering fine, in a cast). Getting dressed for work this morning, I didn't have a lot of clothes at his house to choose from, so I ended up wearing my Sunday concert outfit to work today.

Comfortable Tuesday

Back to work today. I had a great time Saturday at the Randolph Street Market (read Alaina's review and check out her pictures), but the weekend took a downhill turn after that. My boyfriend hurt his arm while biking Sunday morning, and took a trip to the emergency room. He's ok though, and he should recover fine, so no worries.
